Svenska Aerogel enters into a five-year supply agreement with Matrix Brands, specializing in incubating and commercializing global personal care brands, becoming the exclusive supplier of the specially developed aerogel material for use in personal care. The agreement includes conditions for scaling up production as well as the delivery of the material throughout the contract period. Svenska Aerogel receives approximately 130 KEUR for necessary production adaptations and expenses related to the pilot production of the material.
Outlast® Technologies, a global leader and pioneer in thermal management solutions textiles, has launched a groundbreaking solution for advanced temperature-regulating fibers using Svenska Aerogel’s material Quartzene®. Outlast® has now filed a patent application for this unprecedented solution. The launch is scheduled for January 2025.
The University of Gävle’s case study on the energy-saving potential of Quartzene®-based cool roof coatings, plasters and renders has now been officially published. This peer-reviewed publication confirms the material’s ability to reduce energy use in buildings in warmer climates.

Following the recent announcements of pilot orders from two other customers, Svenska Aerogel continues its trend of larger customer projects entering the pilot phase.

This time, the order for approximately 160 kg of Quartzene[®] has been placed by a new customer in the process industry through Svenska Aerogel’s Dutch distributor, Vesta Chemicals. The material will be used in a unique technology for thermal insulation that is currently being developed by the customer. Lately, Svenska Aerogel has noticed rapid development in several customer projects. This collaboration is an example of such progress, where another customer enters the pilot phase of their product development.
