Svenska Aerogel receives a call-off order for 3 tons of Quartzene[®] from its French distributor Novcoat. The order thus represents a delivery contract between the two companies for 2024 and will be divided into four deliveries during the year. The material will be used by Novcoat’s customer in cool roof paint.
Specialty chemicals company Comindex has been appointed Svenska Aerogel’s new distributor in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Svenska Aerogel and Comindex signed a letter of intent in 2021, but now the collaboration has been formalized with a distributor agreement. This new agreement will boost Svenska Aerogel’s presence in these markets, focusing on thermal insulation paints and plasters. In countries where high temperatures are common, there is a strong demand for efficient heat insulation and reflective solutions. Svenska Aerogel believes that Quartzene[®]-infused products will play a significant role in meeting this demand.
As the year comes to a close, Svenska Aerogel is introducing a new key customer in the transport segment. The new key customer is a global, renowned supplier in the European automotive industry with substantial customer understanding and experience. Simultaneously, a key customer within the process industry has chosen Svenska Aerogel’s solution over a competing technology. Tor Einar Norbakk, CEO of Svenska Aerogel, discusses this and more in a new sales update.
Svenska Aerogel is set to be the exclusive manufacturer of a new aerogel material for use in a patented toothpaste for sensitive teeth within the premium segment. This material was developed during a multi-year collaboration between Svenska Aerogel, a leading London university, and a global healthcare company. When tested, the toothpaste containing the material has proven to be more than 44 times faster-acting than market-leading toothpastes for sensitivity. Matrix, a UK-based company specializing in the commercialization of personal care products and brands, is now preparing to launch the toothpaste on the British retail market.
A returning European customer has placed yet another order for 2.2 tons of Quartzene[®], marking a repetition of its largest order. With this new order, it becomes clear that the customer has ordered 44% more of Svenska Aerogel’s material in 2023 compared to 2022. The customer operates in Building & Construction, an industry that has faced a challenging year. However, the order indicates an improvement for the customer, whose product is excellent for energy renovations in buildings.
Svenska Aerogel’s distributor Krahn Italy has placed an order for 1 ton of Quartzene[®] on behalf of a new customer. The customer is currently in the process of entering a new thermal insulation product in the Building & Construction segment, incorporating material from Svenska Aerogel.
Svenska Aerogel is intensifying its focus on the Transport industry – this is stated by CEO Tor Einar Norbakk as he gives a new sales update. The company is currently engaged in several ongoing customer projects related to battery safety for electric vehicles, and this is reflected in Svenska Aerogel’s customer segmentation strategy moving forward. Tor Einar Norbakk also provides updates on key customers, including one that has introduced a product incorporating Quartzene[®] and is preparing for launch.
Svenska Aerogel is once again sending an order – this time for 720 kg of Quartzene[®] – to its returning French customer Renovcoat. Renovcoat sells cool roof paint containing Quartzene[®] in the French and African markets. The company is now gaining market share in France, and the number of installed square meters is steadily increasing.
Two of Svenska Aerogel’s key customers have recently introduced products incorporating the company’s material Quartzene[®]. Additionally, several other customers have advanced in their business development and entered new phases. Tor Einar Norbakk, CEO of Svenska Aerogel, highlights these developments and provides an update on the company’s current business.
