Svenska Aerogel Holding (publ) signs Letter of Intent with Worlée Chemie, Germany

The aim is to develop business in specified applications and allowing Svenska Aerogel access to Worlee’s growing network of customers. Worlée will receive distribution rights in certain regions internationally and explore synergies between Quartzene and other materials in its product portfolio.

Worlée Chemie is a well-established private German company operating in international markets. They produce and distribute a wide range of resins and additives for different paint- and coating products. Worlée have distribution in more than 50 countries and reports sales for 2018 to 126 million Euro.The companies have collaborated for a long time to evaluate Quartzene’s properties and the results are very positive. Svenska Aerogel’s investment in a new energy-efficient manufacturing process increases the production capacity to commercial volumes.

Thermal insulation is a focus area for Svenska Aerogel. Quartzene is extremely porous and has excellent insulating properties. It is also environmentally friendly, cannot burn and withstands very high temperatures without changing. Thus, Quartzene can improve the properties of many different materials and products in insulation.
