Last year, Svenska Aerogel became the first Swedish listed company to have its sustainability efforts verified according to ISO 26000, an international standard focusing on corporate social responsibility (CSR). The verification is valid for one year; therefore, Svenska Aerogel had its sustainability efforts reverified during the spring of 2024.
Sustainability efforts reviewed by accredited third party
Both the initial verification and the subsequent verification were carried out by VERIFY Agency of Sweden, an accredited third party. They reviewed Svenska Aerogel’s sustainability efforts as well as the self-declaration of the work. In the new verification, VERIFY Agency of Sweden considered the numerous advancements made since the initial verification. The reverification of the sustainability efforts demonstrates the company’s continued contribution to sustainable development.

Continuous sustainability work strengthens market position
Throughout 2023, Svenska Aerogel intensified its commitment to Agenda 2030. Over the year, the company’s sustainability journey included employee well-being initiatives, staff education on sustainability, and setting specific goals to reduce its environmental impact. One significant achievement was completing a life cycle analysis (LCA). This calculated the total environmental impact of one of the company’s products from production to delivery.
